Aputure has recently released four new Amaran series COB LED lights. The Amaran 100d, 100x, 200d and 200x are all Bowens-mount lamps, with more affordable price range start from 199 USD,much lower to it’s higher-end C120D II and C300D fixtures.
These latest units do not even have prominent ‘Aputure’ logos on them, to further segregate the high and low end offerings. The Amran series like Aputure Amran RGB light cost only 45 USD, so ” Amran ” is meant to apply only for those low price light series. This is for sure the fight back to aganist Godox and Nanlite who were eating up Aputure’s share of LED video light marketing by intruducing lines of new budget light.
Who are Godox? What did he do to expand it’s market share in LED light? Well, It had released 4 differenct type of great LED light vary in price and some function, Godox VL 150, 200 and 300 , Godox SL 150/200 II , and Godox FV 150 /200 (Hybird light) and Godox UL 150, upgraded version for it’s most popular LED light Godox SL60W, the Godox ML60 is the latest LED light released 2 Oct, 2020. The price range of these light range from 269 $ to 439 $ , and it has huge impact on Aputure’s share in LED market in the year of 2020.
So this is for sure the fight back from Aputure with low bughet LED light to aganist Godox in LED light market, as you can see the price range.

- Amaran 100d – $199
- Amaran 100x – $249
